Story

Hi,

On 6th January 2022 myself Tommy Price 26 years old was involved in a Fell Running Accident in the Lake District ( https://keswickmrt.org.uk/rescue/halls-fell-blencathra-2/ ) – I suffered a Cardiac Arrest caused by Accidental Severe Hypothermia – My core body temperature dropped to 19 degrees C and I was given manual and mechanical CPR for 2 hours 8 minutes and was then kept alive using an ECMO machine and was unconscious for 4 days and in ICU for 2 weeks. I have now fully recovered apart from severe nerve issues in my hands and feet.

will be running the London Marathon this year in October to raise money for Keswick Mountain Rescue who literally saved my life with the support of Penrith MRT,  Coast Guard helicopter team (Rescue 936 from Caernarfon)🚁 and the RVI and Freeman hospitals in Newcastle.

Also if it wasn’t for my best friend Max getting down the mountain and getting MRT to me as soon as possible who knows if I’d be here today love the man with all my heart ❤️

I was clinically dead for between 2 hours 14 minutes and 3 hours 20 minutes and if it wasn’t for the volunteers and doctors that work for mountain rescue I wouldn’t be here today!

Please donate anything you can - everything helps these amazing people to keep saving lives.
