It started as a dream: three manly men with a passion for empowering children and young adults with special educational needs, got to the top of mount Snowdon (in 69 minutes) and said:

'hey, I think we could do that another three times: but in under 24 hours!' And so it began...

First off and most importantly is that we (Nick Evans, Tom Dux, Paul Evans) all work with and have a passion for special educational needs.
The charity we have chosen is one that is very close to our hearts: ILEAP.
ILEAP's aim is to include disabled people aged 4 years and over into leisure activities of their choice. ILEAP run an annual programme of clubs, youth groups and holiday provision aimed at building confidence, raising self-esteem and promoting independence.

As local heroes (in one form or the other) we know that raising funds ensures that charities like ILEAP can sustain through hard times with all the budget cuts.
Although we all work past our contracted hours and volunteer constantly we feel this wasn't enough and set about raising money while also challenging ourselves physically and mentally through the mountains of Mordor and middle-earth...oh we mean the 3 peaks (Ben Nevis, Scafel Pike and Snowdon)...

 

With the help and motivation of your sponsoring we really feel we can raise enough money to make a real difference to ILEAP, with your sponsorship and the HEROIC help of our colleague and volunteer driver, Marion, for this AMAZING challenge we feel it CAN be completed in less than 24 hours.
