Having been disappointed that I missed out on last years entry ballot, I am thrilled to have secured a place in this years event, especially as I will be riding on the St Catherines Hospice team! Tens of thousands will be unsuccessful in their bid for a place, so I am very lucky.
THE CHARITY
As some of you may know, St Catherines Hospice is a charity which is very close to my heart. The Hospice did a fantastic job caring for my mum in her last few weeks, so I am honored to have the chance to raise money for them. St CH needs aprx £5.5Million in donations each year, to continue providing end of life care to patients and support to families. For more info: http://www.stch.org.uk
THE EVENT Celebrating the legacy for cycling created by the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 starts in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, then follows a 100-mile route on closed roads through the capital and into Surrey’s stunning countryside. With leg-testing climbs and a route made famous by the world’s best cyclists at the London 2012 Olympics, it's a truly spectacular event for all involved. The Ride finishes on The Mall in central London, shortly before 150 professional cyclists race in the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey Classic on a similar route. Thank you very much in advance.
