Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On 19 June I'm taking part in Race to the King, a 53.6-mile trail race along the South Downs Way, starting from Arundel and finishing on the steps of Winchester Cathedral. I've never run this far before – I ran my first marathon less than 2 years ago – but I'm doing it with the support of some very persuasive friends from Tetbury Dolphins Running Club. I'll be setting off at 7:10 am and I hope to finish around 12 hours later.

I've decided to use my idiocy in entering this ridiculous event to raise money for an amazing local charity, the Mark Townsend Charitable Trust. A bit of information from their website:

The Mark Townsend Charitable Trust was founded in November 2015 by Kate, Bomber, Pete, Jayme, Laura and Arron Townsend, Danny Sharpe, Shane Ludlow, and Sam Powell, just one year after we lost our family member and friend, Mark.

TMTCT aims to help with whatever your life circumstances may incur whilst raising awareness for Mental Health and the stigma that surrounds it.
