Sheffield RAG - BUMMIT 2011 · 29 November 2011 ·
Hey! We’re heading out 11th of April 2011 on a charity hitchhike that will take us travelling 1500 miles all the way to Kraków, Poland's royal capital for over 500 years! We have one week, and a personal target budget of just £15 each to get there! And of course it's all in the name of
CHARITY
Through Sheffield RAG's Bummit organisation, I hope to raise at least £200. The money raised will currently be heading toward four charities, with the opportunity of more charities being signed up!!!
1. SUST - Sheffield User Survivor Trainers (local) ~ a network of mental health trainers who offer mental health service training in Sheffield and the South Yorkshire area
2. Doncaster Rape and Sexual abuse counselling (Local) ~ Open five days a week, the service offers free one to one counselling (both at the centre and by telephone) to those who have experienced rape and sexual abuse
3. Operation Florian (International) ~ OF is unlike any charity that Bummit has supported before. This is a global charity that provides equipment and training to improve fire fighting capabilities in areas of the world that are most in need
4. S.A.L.V.E. (International) ~ S.A.L.V.E helps orphaned and rejected children living on the streets of Jina, eastern Uganda by taking them off the streets and into a school which provides them with much needed care, including counseling and most importantly, education

I hope you can see that any money you donate will be going to worthwhile causes.
Any donation would be very much appreciated
Thank you
P.S. Please continue to donate beyond the dates of the hitchhike itself. This page will close once the deadline has been reached.
(Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity)
