Mark Astle is raising money for Aspire

Tom's Wheels · 8 June 2022

Every two hours someone in the UK is paralysed by a spinal cord injury. It can happen to anyone at any time and no one is prepared for how it will change their life. Aspire is a national charity that provides practical help, supporting spinal cord injured people from injury to independence.

Story

Our son, Tom, broke his neck last November. The accident resulted in a shattered C5 vertebra, meaning he's now a tetraplegic - paralysed completely from the chest down, with limited hand function. We're getting ready for him to finally come home, and we're aiming to help him live the best, most independent life possible. He was super active before the accident, and this fund will contribute towards equipment to help him achieve the great things we know he undoubtedly will.

We're raising funds through the spinal cord injury charity Aspire.
