Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving

Hi Everyone

Thank you for taking the time to read my just giving page, I want to tell you a bit about myself, last year I was diagnosed with breast cancer, this wasn't from breast screening as I was not over 50  I found my lump and went for tests and it came back that had breast cancer I had an operation to remove the cancer and 4 lymph nodes removed too. I then went onto have radiotherapy everyday for 4 weeks and I am now on tablets for 5 years, last Christmas I was too ill to do anything to give back to the breast cancer care charity but this year I have now moved into a new house and We have a drive so I have decided to do a Christmas event at home to raise money for Breast cancer care I can not thank them enough for what they did for me and I want to show my appreciation and also do my bit to help this great cause carry on with their fantastic work they do. So far I have funded this all myself because that's what I feel I wanted to do I have a santa log cabin and santa and Mrs Claus and family and friends are dressing up as elf's and we have face painting I am doing a raffle , hot dogs and soup , cupcakes and mince pies , There will be mulled wine and roasted chestnuts.  We will be decorating the whole of the front with a singing dancing santa , We have snow tree lamp that plays music , I have 6 6ft inflatables an igloo, snowman, christmas tree , santa, polar bear family and a teddy bear that all light up, I have reindeers, penguin family that light up , light up candy canes, light up toads stalls and loads more props,we are also having a snow machine and projectors on the front of the house . There will be a donation cost of £3 to visit Santa and if you would like a picture this will be an extra £2 donation. Why not have a hot dog or hot soup and roll for a donation of £1 each item . Mulled wine donation £1.50 and chestnuts £1 . Why not get the kids faces painted for a £2 donation and cup cakes and mince pies will be a donation of 50p each. Raffle tickets will be £1 a strip. For the smaller prizes and we will have a raffle for £5 donation for the larger prizes that have been donated . We Will al have  a singer to on the day to sing Christmas songs . I am also getting in touch with local schools for a choir to come along, we will be making advertising leaflets and posting them into all the houses in my area and handing them out to schools in the area. I want to get as many people to come to this great magical event I am planning, this will be taking place on Sunday 17th December from 4pm to 8pm at our home at 16 Ardleigh Gardens Hutton Essex CM13 1QR.  I have also got in touch with the local news paper and they are going to get involved to help. They will carrying out an article to advertise the event and a bit about why I am doing this and they will be there on the day to take pictures when I hand over the donations that we will raise on the day. This will then be published in their newspaper after the event as well. I have also got in touch with ITV and they have said it's sounds right up their street and I am in talks with them to, I want to make this as good as I can and make it an annual event and when I told the breast cancer care team they was over the moon and they are sending me out the pink buckets balloons and leaflets and stickers to put on the kids and all they have to help promote this and make it the best it can be.

So that's what I have planned , now I was wondering if you would be able to help out with it at all if you can't make it on the actual day I really really appreciate whatever you could donate it will all help, and also if you have anyone that would be willing to donate gifts for the raffle that would be fantastic. If you are so kind I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I just want to make it as best as it can be and fetch the whole community together for this great cause and have a magical time in the process of doing it.

Thank you so much again for taking the time in reading my just giving page and look forward to seeing those who can make it on the day and also if you donate for this great cause so very close to my heart.

Anyone that will be coming on the day can you email me numbers of your family attending so I can cater for everyone on the day.

Very Kind regards
