Sadly dementia has had a significant impact on my family. My Father, paternal Uncle and Grandma all suffered with this cruel disease. Also a number of my friends have lost parents and grandparents to this devastating illness. My mother-in-law is currently also suffering with dementia and being supported in a care home.

I have had personal experience of the amazing work and support the Alzheimers Society provide for those with the disease, their family and friends as well as the wider community. In addition they fund the essential research into an illness that has impacted so many.

So I want to do something to raise as much as I can to help the Altzheimers Society to continue to provide such vital and appreciated support as well as the crucial research to beat this horrific disease.
