NDCS 24 Peaks Challenge 2010 · 18 September 2010 ·

We’re the National Deaf Children’s Society, the charity for deaf children with any level of hearing loss. Whatever the question or challenge, we’ll help find a way through. We believe in a world where anything is possible for deaf children. Together, let’s make sure nothing holds deaf children back.

Story

Please help us raise money for deaf children!

We have put together a Sky team who are going to attempt the 24 peaks challenge. This is one of the more extreme UK charity challenges - climbing 24 peaks in the Lake District in 24 hours. Although the distance is only 30 miles there's 13,000 feet of ascent - that's like climbing almost halfway up Everest!

The real challenge, though, is to reach our target of raising £5,000 for the National Deaf Children's Society. This is a really worthy cause to help children and their families affected by deafness. They have been raising money for over sixty years; you can see what they get up to here http://www.ndcs.org.uk/about_us/our_vision/index.html

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

I know how much of a pain it is reciveing over a hundred of these charity emails a month but If you can take the time and donate I'd realy appreciate it.

cheers

Tony
