When I was 8 years old I lost my Mum only 10 days before her 40th birthday. I have grown up wondering what she would have been like, what she would have thought. As I now approach 40 I want to run and raise money for Child Bereavement UK who will support any other child who loses a parent at such an age. There was no support when I went through the loss of my mother and I don't want any others to have be in the same position.
Child Bereavement UK help children and young people (up to age 25), parents, and families, to rebuild their lives when a child grieves or when a child dies. Child Bereavement UK also provide training to professionals, equipping them to provide the best possible care to bereaved families.
