For over 35 years, St Luke’s has been providing free of charge specialist palliative care and support for people in mid & south Cheshire living with life limiting illnesses. Our support begins from the moment someone is diagnosed, through to palliative care and end of life care.

Story

Lucy and I are running in the Manchester Half Marathon on Sunday 19th May on behalf of St Luke’s Hospice.

The Hospice is such an important part of the local community and its work provides invaluable support to both its patients and their families. We as a family have relied upon St Luke’s help in the past.

Any contributions to St Luke’s incredible work will make a huge difference to the lives of so many people. Your sponsorship will be an enormous motivation for us as we run the course, as we know how much of a beneficial impact it will have.

With many thanks,

Tony and Lucy :)

Since 1988, St Luke’s has been providing palliative care to local people, supporting them in ways which go beyond the scope and funding of the NHS. Last year we supported over 1,000 local people with a huge range of support from end of life care on our ward to supporting carers, and from helping children cope with grief to helping patients return to work after an illness. We are a charity and provide all our care for free, so we rely on the generosity and commitment of our supporters to raise more than 80% of our costs.
