Story
On Monday 2nd April we ran the L2M 50 mile ultra marathon to raise funds for the wonderful organisation that is the Samaritans.
It was the biggest challenge we've undertaken. The training alone was incredibly tough, running marathons and ultras over six months to get fit enough just to start.
The run was absolutely brutal. Words cannot describe how tough it was. We set off from Liverpool at 6am in a torrent or wind and rain. It then snowed for over an hour and rained on us for eight hours. The wind chill went down to -6. Keeping us going was the knowledge we were supporting a charity that does incredible things on a shoestring.
If the knowledge of supporting someone in extreme mental distress is something that touches you then please chip in and make a donation.
Many thanks
Steve and Tony
