Story
I'm walking 31 miles in October to help transform the future of pancreatic cancer. Right now, half of people with pancreatic cancer die within three months of diagnosis.
Earlier this year I heard that a dear friend of mine, who had been the best man at my wedding some 34 years ago, had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Despite operations and the best of care Keith sadly died from this illness.
Although walking a mile a day is no great feat of endurance I am doing this in memory of Keith and his family in the hope that others may be helped from the funds raised.
By donating to my challenge, you're making support available for people now and funding world-leading research to find that breakthrough in new treatments which is so desperately needed. Just £29 could fund further research to improve the speed of diagnosis. £180 could fund three reusable tubes for collecting breath samples at the GP surgery from people who have symptoms that may be pancreatic cancer.Together, we will bring more than hope to people affected by pancreatic cancer. 💜Thank you so much for your support! 🙏
