I'll be wearing this amazing scarf knitted by one of our fantastic shop team to keep me warm as I do the Big Sleepout on the 10th October in support of the amazing work done by Spitalfields Crypt Trust working with those experiencing homelessness and addiction as they undertake their journey of recovery, hope and transformation. We are an East London charity embedded in the local community providing a 16-bed recovery programme, a Training and Development centre, a Move-On house, a Housing First project, eight charity shops and two social enterprises. Our Big Sleep Out is on World Homelessness Day and will be held at Christ Church Spitalfields, where our charity started 58 years ago! We will be braving the cold for just one night. Whilst it will never compare to what those who sleep rough experience, we want to raise awareness of the dreadful challenges facing those hundreds of people experiencing homelessness and addiction on our streets and the hope that together we can provide.
