“Really good sound is like good stage lighting – when it’s working you don’t notice it.  You do notice people sharing themselves, with the sense of being able to hear them and share yourself when you want to, with nothing getting in your way.

So I was gratified when a participant came up to me during the Sexuality Workshop and commented on the general seamlessness of music and audio during the course. She said it was having a profound effect on her experience of the training and on the way she had been able to engage with it. 

I actually have been looking after the More To Life audio system as a volunteer for the past 13 years, and as you may be aware, I recently put together a brand new system for the programme which has already been used to support 20 different events this year:

• 6 Completion Evenings
• 2 German MTL Weekends 
• All The Worlds A Stage
• The Power of Purpose
• The Sexuality Workshop
• Power of Purpose Mentor Training
• Power of Self Esteem Mentor Training
• Mentor Training Phase ‘B’

That adds up to over 750 participants who have experienced its benefits so far.
 
Acquiring our new system was made possible thanks to the generous support of Jane Goldthorpe, who presented the MTL community with a cheque for £12,000 to use as an interest-free loan for this purpose.

We are now in the process of repaying Jane, and we thought you might like to be able to join in, as the cost of equipment is part of the general overhead of the programme, which we try to pay for with donations instead of higher fees. This keeps our courses as affordable as possible for the widest possible range of participants.
