Story

UPDATE 2:

Craig Sorbie has joined the team to cycle 50 miles and run a half marathon...! He made me run 24 miles in 24 hours, so it is only fair...

UPDATE:

In addition to the below 50mile cycle and half marathon, I have agreed to take part in running a mile EVERY hour for 24 hours, starting Friday evening.... Should be awful!! Haha.

Why am I doing all of this?

Uganda is in lockdown like us. But it's not the same. Many people don't have the option of social distancing, living in cramped slums. Many have no electricity, no running water. There is no furlough scheme, and millions people who were already living hand to mouth are struggling.

So together we are going to get the miles in and walk to Uganda, virtually.

I can't swim (bath not big enough) so it will have to be a Duathlon (is that even a thing?) For every mile I run/ cycle, we can bring food, water or supplies to those who need it most...

By sponsoring me, you are supporting Fields of Life to provide over 250,000 people with hand washing facilities, face masks, gloves, soap, jerrycans, emergency food, sanitary towels, and water.

Thank you!
