‘Better Care, Healthier Lives’. We are the charity that exists to support St George’s hospitals and the communities they serve. Every day, our work makes a real difference to patients, their families and friends and the staff who care for them.

Story

A group of staff and local residents are teaming up to take part in Ride London to raise money for the Hospital Charity.

The route weaves through closed roads in Zone 1, out to Richmond park and then to Surrey Hills and back. If you live anywhere near the route forget driving anywhere that day and come and give us a cheer!

In advance of the big day there are some training rides planned. The main one in the hospital is we're going to setup up static bikes on Friday 26th July and try and ride the distance of the longest leg of the tour de france (231km). If you want to come down and show us your inner Bradley Wiggins or Laura Trott please email d.woodruff@nhs.net to arrange a time slot to ride. You can bring your own bike and drop it on a trainer or use one of ours.

If donning lycra isn't your thing then don't worry you can show your support by donating your money to the good cause. Please feel free to tell your colleagues who cycle what we're doing and and tell them to get involved!!!
