In memory of an exceptionally brave little boy, we raise awareness and provide vital equipment for children with life limiting and life changing conditions. In addition to granting 'wishes', we also make donations to services such as schools, hospital wards and children’s hospice’s.

Story

Lucy, Lauren, Nicola & Tony  will be taking on Mont Blanc this August, the highest mountain in Northern Europe, standing at 4,808.73 m above sea level.

Harley's Mother Lucy has trekked the Sahara desert and was joined by Tony to Everest Base Camp in 2017.  This will be the most challenging event yet.

The climb will involve 6 days of walking, climbing and scrambling over a variety of steep and rocky terrains.  Other dangers include falling chunks of ice, cracks in the glacier, fast changing weather and avalanches.  Ropes, crampons and ice axes will be used in this technical climb.  There will be 3 days to attempt to summit the mountain providing conditions are safe and the climbers are free from altitude sickness.

Whilst exciting, this trip is clearly nerve racking and the team are training hard to prepare both mentally and physically.

The money raised will go to Harley Jae South Children's Charity helping those with life limiting and life threatening conditions and their families.

Thank you so much for your support :)

Harley Jae South

Harley Jae was diagnosed with a rare neurological condition known as
Ponto Cerebellar Hypoplasia Type 6.
During his life he was one of only two children in the world with this condition.
This diagnosis left Harley with severe uncontrolled epilepsy, global developmental delay and learning difficulties.
As a result of Harley’s condition he had many problems that affected his health and learning.
Despite all of his complex health and social needs Harley Jae was such a happy and contented little boy. He loved nothing more than a cuddle and he was always smiling.
He had the best quality of life and he was surrounded with the love of so many people.
On February 22nd 2013 Harley sadly passed away after contracting a severe case of pneumonia.
In Harley's memory Harley Jae South will continue to help and support children with life limiting conditions and their families.
The charity raises awareness and provides vital equipment for children with life limiting and life changing conditions. The charity also makes donations to services such as schools, hospital wards and children’s hospice’s.
Families can also apply to the charity directly for 'wishes' to be granted.
