After what has seemed a normal pregancy I gave birth to a healthy baby boy Tyler Wraith Kenyon on 12th June 2009.Though at 9months we realised somthing wasnt quite right with Tylers development. After numerous invasive tests and assessments Tyler was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy-severe pentriculsr leukmalacia and Dandy Walker Syndrome Variant

This came as a big shock and now at the age of 2 1/2 Tyler has undergone a wide range of treatment from various chld specialists, therapists and medical proffessionals to support his needs.

Though there has been funds and treatment made available to us we have still had to raise further funds ourselves and through friends and family to access resources such as speech and language therapy and specialist equipment necessary to aid his developmernt.

After all the challenges Tyler has faced he is always full of joy, charisma and happy spirited which inspires us and everyone that knows him.

On 13th May 2012 myself and some close friendsI will be aiming to complete the Blackpool Beaverbrooks 10k to raise money so we can puchase a specialist trike for Tyler as he is unable to pedal a regular trike as he lacks the necessary strength to push the pedals, however Tyler is able to ride a specially adapted tricycle and would benefit from having one on multple levels. Not only would there be a huge benefit but also it would promote his independance. It will also help develop his interpersonal skills as he joins in with family and friends as well as develop his play skills and imagination as he sets out on his latest adventure. It will also be a boost for his confidence and self esteem.
