Alan Dobie, David McNicol, Craig Marshall, Neil Davidson and John McIntyre are raising funds for the Chloe McIntyre Fund within Yorkhill Children's Charity. The aim of the fund is to build a sensory room and roof top sensory garden within the new Yorkhill Hospital. These will be named after Chloe and will be opened by 2015.
John and Janets daughter Chloe Flora McIntyre was born on the 31st March 2008 with a condition called Truncas Arteriosis and she spent a lot of time in Yorkhill Hospital and in particular in the Cardiac Ward 5a and the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. She underwent successful open heart surgery at 4 weeks old but due to certain complications was placed on an ECMO (life support) machine after the surgery. She fought hard for the next two weeks through lots of ups and downs but sadly grew her wings when she was six weeks and two days old!
There are a lot of very good doctors and nurses in the hospital and we would like to try and do something that will help babies with similar conditions to Chloe and try to raise funds to build these rooms in memory of Chloe for all the other cardiac babies.
Any donation that you make will be greatly appreciated and will hopefully go towards making a difference in helping more babies like Chloe. We can't thank you enough for your support and will keep you up to date with how we get on.
