Story

I am the proud auntie of twin boys Solomon and Sebastian. Seb was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy Spastic Diplegia at 15 months old which basically means that simple things, such as crawling, cruising and even sitting are very difficult for him. He is not yet able to walk, but we hope that one day he will, just like his twin brother.

My sister and her husband aim to raise £70,000 to send Seb to America to have life-changing SDR surgery which will help him to walk, The money raised will pay for the surgery, aftercare, a prolonged course of intensive physiotherapy and any specialist equipment he might need.

My dream is that Seb, just like his brother, Sol and his cousin (and my daughter) Mimi, will be able to run around together and jump in muddy puddles. It breaks my heart (and his parents' hearts) that he can't do this.

So why tough Mudder? Think of the absolute most improbable thing you could ever hope to imagine me doing...and voila! This (a 12 mile obstacle course designed to test physical strength and mental grit) is going to be incredibly tough for me. I've not set foot in a gym or exercised since I was pregnant with Amelia (3 years!). I'm more at home wearing dresses, searching for that perfect lipstick and drinking fizz.  I don't do mud...or pain...or anything where you have to sign a death waiver!!!

So please, please sponsor me if you're able. I promise lots of photos of me at the end of the course, covered head to toe in mud!!!
