As a family, (some of us with minimal fitness levels at present!), we are running the twelve mile army obstacle course that is Tough Mudder to raise money for Alder Hey Children's Charity. 

We've chosen Alder Hey because their surgeons saved the life of Lexie Ashworth when she underwent open heart surgery at just a few months old. Lexie, who is now an ambassador for Alder Hey is now fit and very well and is even running the "mini mudder" event aged just 7.  

We are expecting bruises, scrapes and some very tired muscles, but if we manage to raise some funds for Alder Hey then it will be totally worth it.
