Tough Mudder London South 2015 · 26 September 2015 ·
Howdy ladies and gentlemen!
As you may have heard already, I recently signed up for Tough Mudder 2015. You are probably asking yourself What’s Tough Mudder?! Now. It’s a 12 mile military style obstacle run including jumping over fire, submerging yourself in ice cold water, crawling over mud, carrying logs, and lots of other exhausting challenges for crazy people like me.
Knowing me, you are probably laughing out loud. Yes, I am not the fittest of my friends; I enjoy having an occasional beer and more often - a cigarette. Also, I have to admit, I am a biscuit-oholic…
Now, the most important question: Why?!
It’s because I care. I care about people who go through tough not just once a year by joining a challenge like this; they go through tough every day by not being able to walk, by being sexually abused because they’re blind, or by being hunted for their body parts because they have Albinism.
As some of you may know I work for an amazing charity called ADD International. We work in Africa and Asia with disabled people living in extreme poverty and help those who need it the most.
So I decided that I can face one day of tough if it means I could help stop a disabled person facing another day of tough. All I am asking you today is to help me help them by donating as much as you can for this challenge. To show my gratitude for your donations, I promise to train as hard as I can by spending all my free time in the gym, ditching nights out and spending weekends in parks doing boot camps. For your donations, I will keep you thoroughly entertained with videos and regular picture updates of my activities. Prepare to laugh a lot my friend!
Just to let you know, donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to ADD. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Thank you very much for taking time to read this and don’t forget to donate!
Yours,
Paula
