Story

Following the success of the original Tour De Blackett in 2009 when 7 of us cycled from Birmingham to Sheffield via the Peak District we have decided once again to raise money for the Huntington's Disease Association in memory of our dear friend Fraser Blackett........only this time it's going to be bigger and better and no doubt more painful........though hopefully dryer and less hills.

On June 4th, the latest "Tour De Blackett" collective will cycle the approx 400m distance of Birmingham to Paris (with a ferry crossing inbetween).  We've learnt some lessons from the first tour.....though not enough to put us off such a mammoth challenge.

We estimate the journey will take us approximately 5 days and although we did the first tour and some of us play rugby, squash and run marathons, none of us are athletes so this will be a huge challenge.

We truely appreciate all your support and donations for such a great cause in memory of a very dear friend who we still miss.

Many thanks,

Matt, Jimmy, Pete, Dave, Michael and Jon
