Story

Let's be up front, we aren't a bunch of pro cyclists. So why have we chosen this challenge of cycling from London to Paris in just 4 days, this summer? Because we want to do something extraordinary for an extraordinary charity - Sands, in memory of Charlie and Shermie.

Meet the Team

Made up of Dom, Emily, Steph, Rachel and Kate, read more about each of us, click here!

Why Sands?

That moment when you hear your baby has passed away is the most heart wrenching of times. The future you’d planned, and that little life taken away in an instant. 15 families hear those words every day. Read about Rachel's story in her latest blog, 'How has it been a year already?' - click here

The death of a baby has a profound and lasting impact on parents and the wider family. Sands support steps in from the moment the news is received and continues for many years to come. They provide training for midwives, rooms away from maternity wards for privacy, chilled cots for time with your baby and memory boxes to provide tangible memories. They also conduct extensive research in to finding out more about the reasons for these losses, and lobby for changes to protocol and law to support their findings.

Any donation is very gratefully received.

Keep up to date with our journey of training, fundraising and then ultimately cycling - here!
