FOWAS (Friends of West Ashton School) is a Friends Association supporting West Ashton CE Primary School. Our members include all parents, carers, staff and friends of the school. Our role is to support the school community, by helping to strengthen links between parents, carers and staff and by raising funds to enhance the opportunities and facilities available to our children. In its time FOWAS has raised thousands of pounds, which has been spent on improving equipment and resources to enhance our children's education and the facilities in school in general. We run a wide range of events every year both to raise money and to bring the school community together. Recent events have included a Pamper evening, a scarecrow trail, an Easter egg hunt, a disco, a Christmas pyjama party and our big summer event – the Family Fun Evening. We have also funded various workshops for the children including circus skills, People’s String Foundation and a Viking experience day.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Acorn Education Trust is full of multi-skilled and multi-talented individuals who all care passionately about providing the best education and life-skills for the young people of Wiltshire. Not only do Acorn staff provide access to the best education, they also support extra-curricular projects through fundraising and volunteer efforts through PTAs and other associations.

Across our 17 schools and other settings we also have a fair number of enthusiastic cyclists. So, in an effort to raise funds that benefit our children we are organising a team ride to visit all Acorn sites in a single day via a 126km circular route around the Wiltshire countryside. From Rowde to Great Wishford and Dilton Marsh to Netheravon - the Tour D'Acorn is born! The riders are all from School and Acorn staff and all have varying experience on a bike. Professional riders we are not!

Please support the riders and the Team by offering sponsorship via this JustGiving page. 100% of funds raised will go directly to projects that support children's academic and extra-curriculum experience.
