Story

It’s just over 3 years now since my wonderful wife and best friend, Debbie, passed away after an incredibly brave battle with breast cancer.

During the last weeks of her life, she was fortunate enough to be cared for by St Peter’s Hospice. Despite her illness, she was able to relax there and feel safe, knowing that she was receiving the highest standard of care and that her family were also being supported.

It’s impossible to put into words the gratitude that those of us left behind feel for the extraordinary people who provide care at St Peter’s Hospice.

By once again getting off my backside and taking part in the 100km Tour de Bristol bike ride and raising much needed funds for the Hospice I hope, in some small way, to help them to continue to provide care and support for those people and their families who most need it at the most desperate time of their lives.

Over this past year at St Peter's Hospice, the need for services and care increased considerably at the same time that delivering care became harder. While their regular fundraising events are on hold or cancelled, our fundraising and support is so vital and will care for patients and their loved ones across Bristol during the most difficult of times. Any amount that you can spare would be greatly appreciated.
