Story

Hello,

This story starts with a little chat one night between two friends about what they could do to raise some money for charity. A number of ideas came up but the one that really stuck in the mind was a bike ride, but where to go? Now the company we work for has a number of locations, we work at the Farnborough UK office. We talked some more about possible locations and then came the line. "I tell you what we should do, we should ride to the Amsterdam office all in one go"! How we laughed! But the more we thought about it the fewer reasons we could came up with for why we couldn't do it.

So that's exactly what we are going to do. The team is made up of 7 riders; Sam, Matt, Emma, Ashley, Jess, Barnaby and Chris and 3 support crew; Hannah, Ellie and Roberto. Riding in pairs in a relay format we will ride from our office in Farnborough to our office in Amsterdam, a total distance of just under 400miles. Setting off on Thursday 14th April we will ride throughout the night (apart from when we're on the ferry) to arrive at the gates of Amsterdam office at 4pm on Friday 15th April.

And the reason we are doing all this? To raise money for Parity for Disabilities which is a fantastic charity that looks after children and adults with multiple disabilities. Their work helps to improve the quality of life for these people and allows them to achieve their potential. But they can only continue providing this amazing service with donations from people like you. So please donate what you can for this great charity.

Thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page and please come back again, we will be updating the site with pictures and comments of our progress on road to the big ride.
