The Highland Cross · 22 June 2013

Highland Cross is a 50 mile duathlon (walking or running 20 miles and cycling 30 miles) across Scotland from Kintail to Beauly. The event is organised by volunteers to raise funds for charities across the Highlands. Since 1983, over £6.3m has been raised and distributed in full to deserving causes.

Story

For the last 10 years, a group from TRAC’s management team have completed the Highland Cross event (www.highlandcross.co.uk). It’s a 50 mile duathlon (20 miles running, 30 miles on bike) traversing the spectacular Scottish Highlands coast to coast, west to east from Kintail through Glen Affric and Strathglass to Beauly.

The Highland Cross is a charity event and has been running for 28 years now and has raised a total of £3.4M to date. Every penny banked by the teams goes directly to nominated local charities - nothing is deducted for administration, running costs or expenses.

This year's team consists of Rab Watt, Eric Hawthorn and Daniel Hawthorn who would appreciate any donation you can afford to spare.  Many thanks for visiting the page!
