BCU Project SEARCH Treadmill Half Marathon

BCU Project SEARCH Treadmill Half Marathon · 6 December 2019
Project SEARCH is a transition to work internship programme for young adults aged 18-24 with disabilities, learning disabilities and or autism which really works. Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board are hosting our third cohort of 9 interns at the Ysbyty Gwynedd site. The interns are learning
transferrable skills with a goal to achieve employment at the end of their
internships internally or externally. To date our project has 8 interns in employment in a variety of roles.
The interns have their own fundraising group and each year they complete events to support the next cohort with polo shirts and their graduation. They would also like to 'give back' to the staff who support them during their employment journey.
This year on Friday 6th December 2019 the interns and the team will be completing a 'half marathon' with at least a mile each on a treadmill outside the canteen at Ysbyty Gwynedd.
Please come along and cheer them on.
Thank your for supporting the BCU Project SEARCH interns.
In Wales, Project SEARCH is funded as part of the wider 5-year Engage to Change project and the Big Lottery fund in partnership with Welsh Government.
