My stepdad Geoffrey Fitton was a lovely man enjoying life with his family and friends when he took ill on 1st Jan 2017  he was eventually diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour GBM4 in February and given 3-6 months to live, sadly he passed away at home 1st July 2017 with myself, his wife (my mum) Pauline and my 2 sister Debra & Laura at his bedside in the family home. Between the 4 of us we nursed him around the clock at home with the support of our local District Nurse Team and our MacMillan nurse. We were lucky in that my dad never became aggressive as some sufferers do, never lost his sense of humour and never once complained he was a true warrior to the end and although sad we created some very treasured memories too. I hate to think of so many other families going through this journey so if I can raise money no matter how small to help research a cure or at least a treatment plan then I think I owe it to our brave warrior to do just that so instead of 50th birthday presents I'd like all my family and friends and anyone else who reads this to make a donation instead, it would truly mean a lot to me and my family. Thanks so much for taking the time to visit My Just Giving Page.
