Story
My mum, my angel you brought me so much happiness
I am so sorry to say my amazing & beautiful mum, has sadly passed away.
My wonderful and very special mum Elaine Harrison went missing out of my life on 9th December 2013, she has left me with a very large hole in my life that can not be filled until she comes back.
To help focus my efforts for my mum on 1st January 2014 I decided I would start a half marathon training plan to run The Connemara half marathon on 6th April.
I brought my 1st ever pair of trainers in January 2013 and have only ever completed a 5k race, so a half marathon is something that other people do and I never thought I would find myself here!!!
I have trained really hard and the only thing that keeps me going week after week is that my mum is out there!!! I spend time thinking about what she would say if she could see me pounding the pavements of Nottingham.
I will be running my half marathon with my mum's picture on the back of my t shirt so everyone in Galway will be joining our search and look for her too.
Mum newspaper story...............
She has been missing since Monday 9 December 2013 and despite continued appeals has still not returned home.
Family members are becoming increasingly worried about the 59-year-old's whereabouts and are urging her to let them know she is safe.
Police continue to review CCTV footage, however they have not yet been able to confirm any positive sightings of the mother-of-three.
Elaine is thought to have left her houseboat moored at Castle Marina at around 3pm, and was last seen walking past Sainsbury's petrol station towards Queen's Drive in Nottingham at 3.45pm.
A scarf thought to belong to her was found on Wednesday 11 December 2013 in the area around the Notts County Football ground, but enquiries are not being limited to this area.
Elaine Harrison is white, 5ft 2ins tall and of large build. She has grey collar-length hair and was last seen wearing dark bottoms, white trainers and a grey fleece with cream fur trim. She also wears silver framed glasses.
If you have seen Elaine, or know where she might be, please contact us on 101 or call Crimestoppers.
