Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Running a full marathon is going to be one of the biggest physical challenges I've ever attempted. I am running this in memory of a lovely lady called Michelle Cleathero who sadly died On 30th April 2015 at the age of 49. she left behind a wonderful husband Ian and 3 lovely children, Sam, Rob and Vicky and a massive circle of friends. Michelle was a wonderful wife, mother and friend to many people who was full of life and good fun. She will be sorely missed by everyone who knew her. In the last few days of her life, Michelle was able to go into the LOROS Hospice in Leicester, where she was cared for by this amazing organisation and she was able to pass away in peace and with dignity. Her family are eternally grateful to LOROS for the care they gave not just to Michelle but to them all as a family.
LOROS Hospice is a local charity and every year they care for over 2,500 people across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland living with cancer and other terminal illnesses. LOROS first started in 1985 and, in this time, has cared for over 30,000 patients, their families and carers. It costs £7.5 million each year to provide this service, some of the funding comes from the NHS but £4.5 million needs to be donated by the local community, and that where all you lovely generous people can help. I am running the marathon to raise some funds for LOROS so please please please help me, it doesn't matter how much, every pound counts.
