Story

Believe you can

I am taking on this very daunting challenge to raise vital funds for CancerCare, a charity that supported me many years ago following a  bereavement, and for whom I now have the privilege to work! Team CancerCare will be trekking for four days through the sand dunes of the Sahara to climb to the top of the massive Chigaga Dunes, where we will witness the desert sunrise.

Sounds spectacular but those of you that know me well will understand the challenge for me of 1. Getting up incredibly early in the morning 2. Walking up to 8 hours a day in soaring temperatures and sand with my dodgy knees and hip and 3. Coping with probably the most daunting aspect of all...no flushing toilets!!

I'm hoping that once those pennies start rolling in it will give me the incentive I need to keep training to try and get this middle-aged body ready to take on this challenge...

In it's 40th year please give whatever you can to keep this amazing local charity going for another 40!!
