As many of you already know my hubby Paul was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s nearly 5 years ago, sadly last year I think it all got the better of me and I took a dive, I wasn’t in a happy place at all, I hated his Alzheimer’s with a passion, and couldn’t cope with my feelings so I contacted the Carers centre and had a lovely phone chat, followed by several meetings with a Carers support officer who was able to set out a plan for me which included enrolling on a Caring for Carers Course at the Radstock branch, The Carers Centre is based in Radstock & Bath, they have supported me so much. They are a charity so I’ve decided to raise money for them in my first ever 10k run. I feel great now and understand Paul’s disease much better. They helped me see the brighter side to our very uncertain future. No one knows what is around the corner for any of us and I never thought I’d be seen as a Carer to Paul, but we all will need help at sometime in our life so just a small donation is all I’m asking of you that will help me get my goal... across the finish line on May 5th This will be the hardest thing I’ve ever done. I don’t find running easy but absolutely love it & I’ve made so many new friends through 2 local running clubs and Shepton Mallet parkrun.
. Thank you so very much
