As a member of staff in the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Social Work at the University of Salford, I am joining the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Martin Hall, in raising money for three local charities, CARISMA, The Hive at St Johns and Salford Carers Centre

Many of you know I was born half a mile away from the university and when playing in the park next to it, would gaze at it and wonder if I would ever attend such a place, let alone work here! I've achieved both. However a much harder challenge is to get myself around this 6 mile run without walking/giving up, when up to 6 weeks ago I couldn't jog to the end of the street! So please support me personally to get healthier and fitter for me and my children and help these valuable charities.
