I am fed up with hearing that those I love, know and even those I don't know are suffering from Cancer.  Too many people close to me have faced this evil disease and quite frankly enough is enough.  I am angry with Cancer. I hate Cancer. I want Cancer gone from all our lives.  That is why I'm joining Cancer Research UK's Pretty Muddy Race for Life this year. 

If you think I am going to find this easy, then think again. I have zero upper body strength and my attempt at a chin up in the gym had everyone in stitches! But you know what I am going to finish that damn course even if I crawl my way around it, because those I know who have survived Cancer didn't give up because it was too hard.

Events like this are vital in funding Cancer Research UK's life-saving work into preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer.  I've set myself an ambitious fundraising target but imagine what Cancer Research can do with £5K when £8 buys a lab timer, £20 kits out a scientist and £100 buys a DNA measuring tool.
