We raise awareness of AIDS through cricket to strengthen communities and fight disease

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Cricket Without Boundaries (CWB) is a UK based charity dedicated to helping, educating and developing local communities around the World through the spread and growth of cricket. It is also about personal empowerment, both for adults and for children. The Charity uses the sport to help develop personal skills ranging from basic teamwork to self-discipline and leadership

In Sub-Saharan Africa alone there are 22 million people living with HIV, with 2 million Adult and Child Deaths from AIDS in 2007.A large number of those infected are children: many of whom are in cricket playing nations in Africa.

As volutunteer Kenya Country Manager for the charity I will be going to Kenya once per year to use Cricket as a tool to help children who have AIDS. I will also be supporting the teams that get ready to go out on their trips every year, which is one in the Spring and one in the Summer. It is going to be great to be able to go to one of the world's poorest nations and help put a smile on children's faces. I hope you can support me in my fundraising bid to support the great work of this amazing charity

About the charity

Cricket Without Boundaries is dedicated to helping, educating and developing local communities around the world through the spread and growth of cricket. Crucially, CWB also uses cricket as a tool in the fight against AIDS. CWB’s training sessions have at their heart discussion about the disease in terms of prevention, treatment and equality of treatment for those with and without the disease.
