Story

My name is Tracey Hannah and in August last year, I sadly lost my partner Tim McDonald. This Just Giving page is dedicated to raising funds for Men Matters – a vital safe place and invaluable charity for men. This fundraiser is in loving memory of Tim, who truly lived and loved.

Tim passed away on the 8th of August 2024 – Tim was only 31 years old. A man who throughout the years of his life, had many struggles with mental health. Tim was loving, caring, generous and a man with the biggest heart. He loved his mum and dad, his partner, his friends and his smallest best friend, Arya the Frenchie. Tim was a true Scotsman who loved touring all over his home country and appreciating the stunning scenery that was right at his doorstep. Tim was a very active man who enjoyed long walks and discovering new places to venture. Tim loved life, he was a devoted son and the most loving partner to his soulmate, Tracey. Tim had the biggest personality and could light up any room. He is unbelievably missed, more than words can describe and will forever live on in our hearts and in our memory.

Myself, Kristen Young and Sarah Hughes will be taking part in The Kiltwalk 2025 on April 27th in loving memory of our dearly missed partner and friend. We will be walking 23 miles over the course of a day to honour our Tim. We have made this page to raise money for Men Matter Scotland, a charity dedicated to help men in a time of need. Our aim is to raise money and awareness whilst donating to this amazing charity who work tirelessly to support men of all ages battling with mental illness.

Thank you for taking the time to read Tim’s story and please share/donate if you can – we truly appreciate it.
