Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As I approach 50 I am beginning to appreciate my good health and have decided to take on 5 events as a personal challenge and in the process I would like to help those less fortunate than myself.

Each event is a minimum of 100km (62mi) and my aim is to complete each of them within 24hrs. I will be walking continuously and through the night, only stopping for food and 'comfort' breaks.

I have chose to fundraise for the Bronte Ward at Medway Maritime Hospital. This ward cares for patients suffering with all lung diseases and acute lung infections including asthma. pneumonia, COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), lung fibrosis and other causes of breathing difficulties.

I am proud to say that my daughter is a newly qualified nurse on this ward and the support she has been given by her colleagues has been invaluable and is a credit to the hospital.

The team on this ward work tirelessly together to ensure the best care possible is provided to their patients, even in the most challenging of situations. Unfortunately, for some patients,  the Bronte Ward will be their final resting place. The staff are passionate in their support for families at these difficult times and are all to aware of the importance of these last moments shared together.

I understand the ward would like to purchase 2 recliner chairs to be used by relatives when their loved ones are receiving end of life care.

I would like to raise enough money to enable the hospital to purchase these items and with your help I hope this can happen. I would be really grateful for any donation you could give (no amount is too small).

My 5 challenges are detailed below and I will keep you posted over the coming months as to how each of them go. I have never attempted more than two in one year so this is going to be tough!!

Please show me your support if you can and help keep me motivated.

Thank you x
