Story

I'm raising funds for the Cancer Unit at our local hospital.  My husband Andrew was diagnosed with cancer back in 2011.  He's had a number of operations and chemotherapy treatments and lots of time spent at the cancer unit here in Stoke on Trent.  I'd like to support the patients and families with their stays/visits, making it a more comfortable and pleasant one.

I started running in May 2014 doing the Couch to 5k and have now completed a couple of half marathons.... So my challenge for this fundraising is to complete at least 3 half marathons and to finish off by running the Potteries Marathon 2016, this isn't the easiest of marathons but this is nothing compared to what cancer patients go through week in week out.

09.04.16 -Had to hand over my place due to constant niggles after MW 28 miles** edited 20.1.16 ** A further Half marathon (Trail) added to the list - Newcastle Way, starting at Mow cop and ending at a pub! April 16th. I've also signed up to the Gritstone Grind Ultra but this is taking place in September, this is later than the July cut off date for my charity.

** I've added an Ultra Marathon to the list **  The Millennium Way in a day (12 hours) 41 miles - March 2016

These are the races I'll be running

4th October 2015 - Congleton Half.  6 March 2016 - The Millennium Way.   20th March 2016 - Stafford Half . 15th May 2016 - Chester Half.  12th June 2016 - Potters 'arf.  3rd July 2016 - Potteries Marathon.

So I'm asking all my family and friends to support me by making a donation.

Thanks for taking the time to read this.
