I first became acquainted with Camp Boggy Creek 11 years ago at their inaugural Challenge Ride. It was my first official charity ride, as I was brand new to road cycling. I was fortunate to be involved with Camp each year since then, with only a couple of years' exceptions. Events Director, Charisa Robertson, called me a few months ago and asked if I would be willing to be on the Planning Committee. I happily accepted and am SO JAZZED about being involved with the Challenge Ride once again! 

On Saturday, November 6, 2021, I will be participating in the 11th Annual Challenge Ride. I will be TAKING THE CHALLENGE in support of children with chronic or life-threatening illnesses. Taking the challenge means I am dedicating my time and efforts to change the life of a child that attends Camp Boggy Creek.Camp Boggy Creek is a place of dreams, joy & possibilities, where kids can just be kids! Founded by Paul Newman and General H. Norman Schwarzkopf in 1996, Camp Boggy Creek has made it possible for children with serious illnesses to enjoy a camp experience in a safe, medically-sound environment. The 232-acre camp serves children ages 7-16 who've been diagnosed with chronic or life-threatening conditions at absolutely no cost to them or their families.
