I am completing this abseil with my dear friend Gill Hicks. Gill was so severely injured in the London Bombings in 2005 she was not expected to live. She sustained horrific injuries and lost both her legs as a result.

St Thomas' Hospital was the hospital which treated and cared for Gill after the bombings. They were instrumental in her rehabilitation. 

Gill and I are completing this challenge as a way of commemorating 10 years since the terrorist attacks on London and a way of raising money for a hospital that played such a vital role in Gill's recovery.
