Story
Thank you for visiting my page.
I know a young man in his early 20's who was diagnosed in Spring 2018 with Sarcoma. The Sarcoma has metastasized and he has had Chemotherapy, an operation and radiotherapy. We hope that the money raised will go towards essential research into an immunotherapy treatment.
I am running the London Marathon because I knew his elder brother, who tragically died in an accident on the Lakeland fells in July 2018. I know that this elder brother would have done anything to help the younger brother. He was a kind, caring and gentle young man. The brothers were very close.
I am doing this in memory of the elder brother and to help the younger brother.
I'm supporting Sarcoma UK, the only cancer charity in the UK focused on all types of Sarcoma. Sarcoma is a cancer of the bone and soft tissue. It is one of the hardest to diagnose, and difficult to treat. By donating to my page, you will fund vital research projects looking for better treatments. Your donation will also raise awareness of the symptoms of sarcoma to help patients get an early diagnosis, and ensure everyone has access to specialist advice.
