After catching the running bug, despite many injuries and discovering I was in Florida at the same time as the WDW Marathon weekend I couldn't help but sign up for my first 1/2 marathon. Who wouldn't want to run through the most magical kingdom on earth?

When I mentioned this several people asked me who I was raising money for. I hadn't thought of doing it as a sponsored run, but I thought why not so I decided to choose Marie Curie as my chosen charity as so many people are either affected personally by cancer or know someone who is and Marie Curie offer terminally ill patients the nursing care and emotional support they need at the end of their lives.

Thay have 2,000 nurses in the UK who care for terminally ill people in the last few months or weeks of their lives, including half of all cancer patients who die at home They generally spend several hours at a time in a person’s home providing nursing care and emotional support, often overnight.

They need to raise £10,000 every hour of every day to carry on their work, last year more than 31,000 people were given the choice of where and how to spend their final days so.....
