Tracy's Fundraising Page For The Katie Piper Foundation!

The Katie Piper Foundation · 31 December 2013
On Sunday the 11th of May 2014, I shall be running the Glasgow Women's 10k with my fabulous friend Lynn. If you would like to make a donation in support of this endeavour, I would be delighted and can assure you that every single penny you give is going to an amazing cause - the incredible work that Katie Piper does across the country for burn survivors. My goal is to raise as much as I can by Hogmanay 2014 through various activities - all suggestions welcome! Previous successful activities have been Come Dine With Me's, a 10k and a half marathon.
The Katie Piper Foundation aims to :
Progress intensive rehabilitation and scar management for burns survivors
Provide information on and access to non surgical treatments for burns and scars
Campaign for consistent clinical care
Develop a support network for people living with burns and scars
The Katie Piper Foundation helps people with burns and scars to reconnect with their communities, and would benefit greatly from your financial support!
I understand what it's like to live with scars on a daily basis : I was seriously injured when I was a baby - a kettle of boiling water fell on me, leaving me with horrific burns that required an extensive stay in hospital, skin grafts, and constant scar and growth monitoring throughout my childhood years. I was lucky - I survived. Now I want to help others going through a similar experience, as empathy, support, respect and kindness make such a massive difference to someone who will always feel 'different'. With your help, all donations will make such a positive difference to people's lives.
