Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page, please find my story below.
I will be running the London Marathon 2022 on 2nd October 2022 aiming to raise minimum £1500.00 for Autism Hampshire who do amazing work, creating opportunities, challenging perceptions, enhancing high quality services to meet the diverse needs of autistic people.
Autism is something very close to mine and families heart as my 7 year old brother Taedyn is autistic, he is very loved and brings so much happiness within our family.
I would love to change the narrative of Autistic people, deep down they have big hearts, funny, caring and kind. They are also very smart, and I'm looking forward to raising money/awareness along with completing my first ever Marathon.
Autism is a lifelong condition that can affect how a person communicates with and relates to other people. It can also affect how a person makes sense of the world around them. Autism is also much more common than most people think. There are over half a million autistic people in the UK - that's around 1 in 100 people.
Autistic people have said that the world, to them, is a mass of people, places and events, which they struggle to make sense of, and which can cause them considerable anxiety.
In particular, understanding and relating to other people, and taking part in everyday family and social life may be harder for them. Other people appear to know, intuitively, how to communicate and interact with each other, and some autistic people may wonder why they are 'different'.
There are autistic people from all nationalities, cultures, religion and social backgrounds. It appears to affect more men than women and is a lifelong condition.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story and any donations/shares of this page will be massively appreciated as I look to reach my donation target of £1500.00 all for a brilliant cause.
