Lhaovo orphanage is within Kachin State, Myanmar. In the past, the orphanage has been primarily sponsored by local people, but through a series of events their support has stopped. Flooding, fighting, the pandemic and the war have all led to their support drying up and they have alarmingly started to run out of food. They desperately need our help! There are currently around 100 children being looked after at the orphanage. At Lhaovo the children get involved growing their own vegetables and fruit and have some dairy cows. Together with American Charity 'Orphan's Hope' we are committed to supporting the children. The aim of the orphanage is to nurture the children but to also help prepare the children for life beyond Lhaovo and seek to pay for their education including university tuition so that they can have a brighter future.
