Story
Treble One Trust
The Trust helps people with Motor Neurone Disease fund vital specialist equipment. Named after the collar number of my husband, Leicestershire Police Sergeant Stewart Sparling and represents "One life, One chance to live it, One day at a time." Stewart set up the trust before he passed away. He sadly lost his courageous battle with MND on 20 June at age 44.
19 people will be taking part in the Tough Mudder Challenge at Belvoir Castle;
Angie Sparling, Caitlin Sparling, Lottie Sparling, Ian McGrath, Tim Hodson, Kate Hobson, Emma Spencer, Sarita Patel, Adam Toorbuth, Chad Bradshaw, Gareth Fare, Lewis Hill, Stephen Sorby, David Grimes, John Heaver, Chris Brown, Lewis Sharp, Ross McGrath, Ryan Brown.
UPDATE: Just under 1 week to go until the big day! This is the first big challenge I’ve personally undertaken for the Trust but feel that Stew suffered for years and I’ll only be suffering short term so it’s worth it.
He was a very special man. On the day he was diagnosed he said that the bottom had fallen out of his World. He then picked himself up, dusted himself down and with the help of family, colleagues and friends raised in excess of £50,000 for the Motor Neurone Disease Association. He soon realised though that funding was needed for people in the latter stages of the disease for expensive equipment that really is life changing. He realised this through bitter experience.
The Trust has helped lots of people in Leicestershire and Rutland with MND so far, and I want to keep it going for the wonderful man that created it.
