ISAAC is an international network. Our members are Christians working in rehabilitation, street agencies, counselling and prevention in nearly 70 countries. We connect, encourage and equip members by: sharing knowledge;hosting events and facilitating training in addiction-related issues.

Story

Thanks for coming to have a look.  I am getting my walking shoes on to walk across Wales (45 miles in a couple of days...) in support of ISAAC - a charity that I am very much involved with.  We Connect, Encourage and Equip those involved in drug and alcohol rehabilitation work.

Some of the things that we have dones recently:

 - HIV training for drug rehab leaders in Moldova. Well received and very necessary - many of the leaders are living with HIV themselves, and those that aren't have people living with HIV in their centres. They are not getting the information or skills that they need from anywhere else

 - A similar training event in Kaliningrad - the forgotten bit of Russia stuck between Poland and Lithuania

 - An exposure visit taking rehab leaders to see best practise elsewhere and get new ideas to use in their own centres

Coming up:

 - Training conference in Ghana

 - Helping new drug rehab centres get up and running in Kazan region, Russia

 - Speaking to a network of church-based alcohol recovery groups in Mongolia

We'd love to be able to do more - most of the initial work to help these centres develop is enabled by the small donations from individual supporters.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Thank you.
